Dan Beckemeyer first made the drawing used as basis for this work, then added some felted muscles and veins. Just wonderful.
This “modern farmhouse,” designed by Steven Harris Architects and Rees Roberts + Partners, was named Interior Design magazine’s Best of Year 2010 Residence. Rustic yet elegant, simple yet grand, the Villa San Spirito is a restoration of 15th century lime stone buildings high atop the Croatian Island Lopud off the Dalmatian Coast.

I must admit I am not exactly in love with pink stuff. I only like it when it is combined with a clever and fresh palette, which is able to use it to contrast and not to make things (too) sweet.
And I love this mix between industrial look and light or very strong pink.
The Robins Way Residence was designed by studio Bates Masi Architects and is an inspiring modern residence located in Amagasett, New York, USA. The project consisted of a complete renovation and addition of a 1960’s kit house, in order to serve as a week-end retreat for the owners, a DJ and an interior designer.
“For this game, Hendrik-Jan Grievink has made a selection of 30 internationally well-known brands, showing neither logo nor name on the images of the matching pairs.
“The challenge is to find matching pairs of a brand, based solely on their characteristic colours and style elements and a short description of the brand.”
A nice excercise for branding students or just a brand new version of one of the most common concentration games: it’s Brand Memory Games, where the classic two identical images you have to match to get points are almost the same; they have colors and font of wellknown brand and both describe its main features.
